Please read through this page completely before doing anything. There are a number of changes from previous years and you have to follow all of these instructions to ensure you’re totally sorted for the weekend.
On Friday, our class has reserved space at the Stray Dogs Society Jamboree. The event is on 27 October 2017 and begins at 7:00 PM at 375 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC 29403. The event is only open to those 21 and over. Tickets are $115 per person and include amazing food, an open bar, and a great band.

You do not have to attend this event, but with 10 years of experience, the Stray Dogs put on an awesome event. Don’t miss it!
The game against VMI will begin at 2:00 PM on Saturday the 28th of October. Our tailgate will begin at 11am. We have secured a 40 by 40 tent and will have plenty of tables and chairs in the shade.
This is where it get’s tricky. The policy regarding March On and the tailgate has changed. You are now required to have a game ticket to attend the tailgate. Read that again: You must have a game ticket to attend our tailgate.
So, if you will be at the game on Saturday, you must first purchase tickets for everyone in your party. Children under 3 are admitted without tickets. Children from 3 to 18, and anyone with a valid student ID, may purchase discounted student tickets for $15. Adult tickets are $35.
You must purchase these tickets ahead of time to receive a discount from the regular price. If you arrive at the tailgate without a ticket, you will not be admitted and your tailgate payment will not be refunded.
So, first, you need to purchase tickets. To purchase game tickets, go to the ETix Website (Opens in New Tab). Select “Best Available” and scroll down to the 2002 Reunion Section. USE THE CODE HC2002 and select the number of each type of ticket you need.
Once you purchase your tickets, you can. These tickets are $77.50 for a single and $115 for couples. Children under 16 are admitted free. You may also purchase additional tailgate tickets for friends and family at $37.50 per person. We are using PayPal to process the payments and there is a small convenience fee added to your ticket to cover this cost.
The tailgate will feature a catered BBQ lunch, including pork and chicken, and dessert from Sticky Fingers. We will have a beer truck on site and non-alcoholic beverages will be available.
Tailgate tickets include one swag package including a Croakie, a Zippered Boat tote, a koozie, and a hat. Couples tickets only include one swag package and additional tickets do not include the swag. If you want to purchase additional items, including polo or Columbia shirts, you can visit the Charleston Cotton Exchange’s Class of 2002 page. Swag packages will be shipped directly to your home before the reunion, so you won’t have to carry them around all weekend.
In 2012, we had approximately $3,000 left after expenses. As promised, we have kept that money and are currently using it to make deposits for the 2017 event. Our plan is to keep the account balance around this level to cover any future class expenses.
Any money remaining over this amount will be donated to The Citadel Foundation.
